I’m going to run out to some meetings with some technology resellers (vendors of Cisco, Oracle, Riverbed, VMWare, etc). Salespeople are some of the best information resources for sales and technology trends as they play out over years. Executives are usually too focused on quarterly numbers, but sales folks at big tech vendors see the bigger trends play out and often have a good idea about how strong or weak the overall company and sector they sell in have been of late.
I’ll have some insights and updates on what the buzz on the ground is in coming days for you guys so we can better gauge what’s working on the ground and what’s losing ground.
