Could you post a brief response to the following question”
If one has suggested to a friend to sign on, or has not bought any
particular stock either long or short as of today, can you state if any, and
which ones are equally worth adding to now. Or on the other hand, which
ones not to buy today. Thanks, Dan. —
Cody here. Let’s try to tackle this one. First of all, remember that Trading With Cody is an informational service and I’m simply showing you and analyzing for you the trades that I am making for my own personal account. I am not you, and you’re not me and I can’t really get in there and help you figure out exactly what stocks and options and strategies are right for you and your situation and your own personal risk tolerance and so on. So you need to be using my trades and ideas as a guideline for your own portfolio.
And on that note, the easiest way to know which stocks I would be buying right now, is to actually just mimic the trades I’m writing about here in real-time as I do them. I obviously wouldn’t be doing the trades for myself if I thought the timing was wrong.
Secondly, you can look at the largest positions I’ve got and reasonably assume that those positions are my favorites for the near-term and that I would be making other stocks from the bottom larger positions if I thought they were ready to run.
Thirdly, I often cite stocks and existing positions and will tell you what I would do them in various scenarios, including your own personal scenario sometimes.
And fourthly, as you’ve seen me doing, there’s nothing wrong with just starting a little position in each of the stocks that I highlight and then slowly building those positions up taking advantage of the price swings that the market gives us over time.
And fifthly, I will tell you that I think Riverbed, Cisco, Corning and Cypress are all set up well for the near-term.
Nowall that said, there’s a reason I diversify.
