Nice up day for the markets and for our portfolio.  Steady as she goes for now.

Let’s hit today’s big movers and a note on each:

Cypress — up 5% today. It’s been a steady climber for a long time now and has been in pause mode for a few weeks.  Look at the chart and you’ll see it sure looks like it wants to run again.  I’m a buyer  or holder of Cypress.

Live Nation – up 8% today.  It just kept climbing steadily higher on high volume all day.  I don’t know why or what catalyzed today’s pop.  That bothers me.  Will be making calls and doing homework on this one.

Riverbed – up 4% today. See my notes from earlier.

Silver – up 4% today.  A 4% rally is what I call a “dislocation” to the upside and it’s no more bullish for silver than a 4% dislocation to the downside is.  This thing could run another 10% in the short term, and I’d probably look to re-short or add some puts at that point.
