Q. Wondering your thoughts/speculation on the market direction from now through the presidential election? If you’d be so inclined to speculate, how do you think things plays out? Hard to believe only about a month away until the election. A. I wrote a whole article about this a few weeks ago. I tend to think the markets are still in a Bubble-Blowing Bull Market mode

A. I wrote a whole article about this a few weeks ago. I tend to think the markets are still in a Bubble-Blowing Bull Market mode over all, but that we could likely see some weakness into the actual election, probably bottoming a week or so before the actual vote. Not really something I’m trying to game other than having added some occasional puts/hedges and doing some trimming as I did again yesterday on several positions.

Q. How much conviction do you have in $HUBS short and why not adding to like others?

A. I still have a lot of conviction about the long-term business prospects at $HUBS not measuring up to its current valuation. I’m just being patient and am likely to add to my $HUBSshort soon.

Q. Any other IPO stocks besides $PI you are looking at?

A. I’ve looked at $ACIA $TWLO and some other IPOs, but am not looking to add those names yet.

Q. What are your thoughts concerning $HLF with the government off their back now. Good time to get out or stay in?

A. My whole thesis is that the government is NOT off $HLF‘s back and that because the government is forcing the company to change its entire business model that there’s huge risk to future estimates based on the old model which most of Wall Street is still using. Meanwhile, everybody in the press has declared victory for $HLF even though $HLF lost.

Q. Hi, Cody. I can’t short a stock from my IRA, so is there an inverse ETF that would serve the same purpose as shorting $EWY?

A. I just tried to find some sort of short Korea ETF for you, but I can’t find any. Sorry.

Q. Any new thoughts on $LGF?

A. Not really, it’s still a great way to play the streaming video revolution and the balance sheet there is so strong, I am just holding it steady.

Q. Any thoughts on $BOX?

A. Lots of nice growth and a true Cloud Revolution pureplay, but no earnings in sight and rich valuation keep me out of it.

Q. $NTNX-When you have time, would you mind doing an analysis on it?

A. Hey, looked at $NTNX, and I don’t like much what I see. Venture-backed, Dell-reliant corporate cloud company competing against $AMZN, $MSFT, $GOOG, etc. Stock was going to come public around $11-13 and its now at $40. Might be a good short candidate when it cracks.

Q. Are you going to purchase Google Home to see how it compares to Echo?

A. I suppose so….I’ll see how the Google Home does in the marketplace and what the reviews are like before I do though, as I’m not really in rush to check it out.

Okay folks, that’s a wrap! See ya around the chat room.
