On Tuesday, September 13th, I wanted to short some Samsung but I couldn’t find any to borrow and there aren’t any options that trade on the Samsung stock here in the US (yet). However, Samsung makes up a full 20% of EWY, the South Korean stock market ETF. So I’m shorting a starter position in the $EWY, maybe 1/5th full-size for now.
- $EWY-iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund (ETF).: I shorted a starter position of 1/5th full-size of common stock.
