George Gilder, YouTube, politicians, Unicorn CEOs and today’s conference call

Last week in San Francisco, I met with CEOs of billion dollar unicorn start-ups, Cisco’s former long-time #2 under John Chambers, YouTube employees at their headquarters, legendary tech analyst George Gilder (we talked about Impinj PI and Nvidia and artificial intelligence and bitcoin and much more), venture capitalist Gene Munster (who, as I told him, was the first guy to turn bullish on Apple after I did when I first bought Apple back in 2003 when he was a Piper Jaffrey Apple analyst — he now runs his own VC shop), Dave Callaway (the CEO of The Street), David Chiu (state representative for the San Francisco area) among many other meetings and giving a speech at the Money Show.

I even spoke to Gene Munster again this morning and discussed, among other things, Apple’s Siri/AI strategy (read his take here) and the set up for Apple as its hitting new all-time highs again this morning, and whether or not we’re in another tech bubble (he thinks valuations are high and stocks could pull back, but didn’t sound too terribly concerned about a “tech bubble” right now).

I have a lot to tell you guys about, but I’ve spent the last two days getting caught up back in the office. I can’t wait to get on the conference call with you guys today so I can start to tell you the takeaways and insights from the trip.
