Latest Positions – And what’s up with BitCoin?

I’ve had BitCoins in my portfolio since earlier this year but I don’t know anybody but me and maybe a couple of my TradingWithCody.com subscribers who own any BitCoins $BTC. I don’t know anybody else who’s even considering buying BitCoins right now or ever.

I see BitCoins on the front page of Marketwatch a lot lately and there’s a lot of debate about BitCoins on Scutify/$BTC  But most all the comments and debates are skeptical and dubious about there being any value in BitCoins. C

Before we jump in to my portfolio positions, I want to post the question to you guys — is anybody out there reading this already long $BitCoins and/or planning to buy some? Next week, I’ll do a full newsletter on BitCoins and will highlight the best ways to buy BitCoins, for those of so inclined.

Also, one other note on the portfolio — we are long Juniper and its biggest competitor, Cisco, reports tonight. I think Juniper is taking market share from Cisco and ideally, Cisco will guide lower and both stocks will get hit tomorrow and I will be looking to scale into some more Juniper if that is the case.

In the meantime, here’s a quite complete picture of my own latest positions.

I’ve broken the list into Longs and Shorts. And from there, I’ve broken down each list into refined categories.

Finally, I give each stock a current rating from 1 to 10, 1 being “Get out of this position now!” and 10 being “Sell the farm, I’ve found a perfect investment” (there will never be a 10 rating, because there is no such thing as a perfect investment, of course). So here’s the list:
