On Donkey, Dogs, And The Search For New Names

On Donkey, Dogs, And The Search For New Names

It’s been a pretty hard week or so at my house. Our sweet donkey, Marigold, passed away. My mutt, Cardi, that we rescued three months ago, was diagnosed with incurable cancer. Amaris didn’t feel well today. I was supposed to be in Vail this week at a hedge fund value ideas conference presenting Intel INTC as my favorite value play (two years ago, the last time I was there, I presented Tesla as my favorite value play and was literally laughed at by the crowd, several of whom were short and none of whom owned TSLA back then when it was at $50 a share — see The Vail Trip: A Den of Tesla Bears (and a note about the markets)) but Amaris’ day nurse came down with Covid and that made it impossible for us to leave.

Head down, keep it going. I don’t have much new to add to my markets analysis as I continue to diligently study new potential names (today I worked extensively on Warner Brother Discover WBD and I like the valuation but the debt load is worrisome), and I continue to cover more shorts in the hedge fund on big pullbacks like we had this morning and I’d rather buy than panic sell right now…but I can’t force the markets to suddenly love the speculative but good Space Revolution or Virtual Reality Revolution stocks.

I’ve had to pitch in and help take care of Amaris more than usual this week and I’m sitting here next to her bed on my laptop writing this to get something out to you dear subscribers.

We will do this week’s Live Q&A chat at 9am ET tomorrow (Wednesday) in the TWC Chat Room or just email us your question to support@tradingwithcody.com.

Deep thought of the day:

#RemindsMeOfTheStockMarket. Don’t be the sheep. Don’t be the dogs. Be the drone. https://t.co/jPD4LNzFei
