Random thoughts into the weekend
Was great to see several TradingWithCody subscribers at a Austin CFA Society event that I moderated last night. I fly back to El Paso this afternoon and then have a 150 mile drive up into the mountains of SE NM to get home to my wife and daughter (see pic).
Some interesting thoughts for you into the weekend:
1. From @MicahLamar: “VR begins with a Slam Dunk…literally. The NBA just announced that they are going to film the All-Star game and Slam Dunk Contest with Virtual Reality cameras and will be releasing it via the Samsung Milk Store. I’ve been hooping it up since the 3rd grade and can’t wait to see how this plays out. $GOOG $AAPL $Sam-Something”
2. Time frame of the Ukraine cease-fire deal: http://t.co/39EjRWgo8e
3. “There’s nothing really new in the $TSLA earnings report,” Cody Willard, chairman of Scutify (a financial social network), told Benzinga.
“The bears can find little things they can put their teeth into. The bulls can hang their hat on 2015 projections and long-term projections, just like they have been anyway. Nothing new.”
…Willard then noted an interesting discussion he had with someone on Trading With Cody. He was asked, “Are we going to look back on Tesla one day and think it’s a battery company that once dabbled in cars?
“That might be the thought to keep in mind,” said Willard. “No matter what you’re looking at for the near-term for Tesla and its cars, is there a battery revolution that they’re driving? Good question.”

4. Time to short $INTU? I like your thinking on the set-up, and will do some more on this idea. $INTU‘s long-term chart sure looks “healthy” and maybe it’s time to bet on a change of direction. Hmm, will dig in some more.
