Q. I know this has come up in years past, but I'm curious about the relative percentages of the portfolio for large, medium, small positions. Large 7-10+%, med/avg 5%, small 3%?
A. It's different for each person and/or fund, depending on each person's risk tolerance, goals, outside income, age, etc, and the number of names in the portfolio. Since we've cut down on the number of names we own, we should have a bit more of each remaining name. In general, the numbers you give there are reasonable for someone with 15-20 different names.
