codywillard: Micron’s quarterly report was bad enough to make you wonder if that stock will ever see $30 again. Long-suffering Micron shareholders might want to move onto something with more sustainable earnings growth at some point.

6/23/15 – Morgan Stanley reiterates Equalweight rating on $AMBA – Firm notes that the stock took a beating (on Monday) due to a competitive loss to Qualcomm from a new action camera introduced by a London based mobile operator, creating concerns that this could be the beginning of more competitive encroachment from smartphone applications processors- Firm thinks this risk is overstated. $AMBA Markets are strong in:
* Wearable cameras play on GoPro.
* Wearable cameras- play on Xiaomi ( recent Yi win ).
* Professional IP security camera market- fast growing market.
* Home IP security market – now ramping.
* Automotive cameras- selling dashcams that are attractive in emerging markets.
* Automotive cameras – new opportunities with electronic mirror and 360 degree viewing- a higher margin category.
*Drones- expected to grow 10%+ revenue in the current quarter as it sells a lot to market leader. Drones also a high margin category.
*Future opportunities with analytic and ADAS = self driving cars
Tuesday, Canaccord Genuity analyst Matthew D. Ramsay reiterated a Buy rating and $115 price target on Ambarella Inc (NASDAQ: AMBA). There has been a sharp selloff of the company’s shares. The analyst believes that the resultant pullback in the stock offers a buying opportunity.
